Free Fundraising Scheme
Recycling is fun!
Our programme for recycling clothes and shoes allows children to see the benefits of responsible approaches to waste and can raise valuable funds for your school or Community Groups. We work closely with education authorities and voluntary groups to introduce incentives for collections - payments are received; based on the material collected.
We are all responsible for the future of our children and our environment. The Eco-Schools project is an International programme that offers a flexible approach for schools to learn about their impact on the environment. Recycling in schools is key to the education of children for the future and recycling clothes and shoes through our company can help.
European Textile Recycling ‘Free Fundraising Scheme' aims to put into practice the Eco-Schools project by working alongside local authorities and community groups to encourage the adoption of sustainable waste management practices. Melvyn the alien, has proved extremely popular with schools and presents a friendly, familiar green face that children can identify with – making helping the environment exciting and fun!
We would like your school or community group to become involved in textile and shoe recycling, to help raise valuable funds, save the environment and support those countries less fortunate than ourselves.
We can help you to arrange a textile collection to suit you by providing you with leaflets, flyers etc which can be downloaded from our website. We will collect the textiles at a time that is convenient to you, we can weigh your bags there and then and payment is instant,or we can arrange a method of payment which is most appropriate for you. There are no contracts involved, you can arrange as many collections as you wish.
We pay 50p per kilo - 1 tonn = 100 bags = £500
These clothes and shoes for recycling will be collected by European Textile Recycling, taken away to be exported and used again in other countries. Diverting waste from landfill, helping the environment and also our local communities. To help the environment and reduce the number of plastic bags going to landfill schools should use their own bags.
